9 Ways To Decorate An Outdoor Space

When it comes to decorating an outdoor space, I know it can be hard with the limited options that look good and are weatherproof so I have put together a list of items that will make your garden glow.

Garden Furniture

Garden furniture is a great way to make use of your outdoor space. With the furniture there, it will encourage you to go and use it so you’ll be in the garden more. Some furniture sets might also come with a parasol so if it’s starting to get too hot you can put it up and shade yourself and carry on relaxing.

Flowers

Adding flowers to your garden is an easy way to upgrade your garden. Adding flowers makes the area pretty and gardening has a lot of health benefits. Only get plants that you’re sure you can take care of. If you’re not a big fan of gardening, then you can get a few planters and put a few plants in there to add some colour. If you really hate anything to do with gardening (or are just too lazy like me) you can get really realistic looking fake plants and you can put them anywhere.

Outdoor Rugs

An outdoor rug is a great way to spruce up your outdoor area and it can be multifunctional as well. A rug can add colour to your space and it can cover up/protect an area of the floor. They are also easy to clean so any spills can be wiped away. The material of outdoor rugs also prevents the growth of mould and mildew so they’re easy to maintain.

Hammocks

A hammock is the ultimate chill tool for your garden if you’re trying to relax. Not only will your neighbours be envious of you, but the hammock is also comfy and the ultimate spot to lie in and chill with a book or even nap on.

Heaters

A garden heater isn’t a necessary product but if you have the money for one, I would get it. Since we live in the UK, we know it gets cold but having the heater keeps you cosy on those chillier summer nights and with a heater you’ll even be able to sit outside in the winter and enjoy being in your garden.

Garden Swing Chairs (Or Egg Chairs)

Bring your inner child out with a swing chair. Not only do they make your garden look better, they’re also practical because they make great chairs. The swing chairs are also very relaxing, with a slight swing you’ll be rocking yourself to sleep.

Barbecue’s

A barbecue is a classic garden item that you should have. Who doesn’t love the smell of food coming from the barbecue while everyone is gathered around chatting? It’s also a great excuse to have a garden party (not that you need an excuse) with all your friends.

Lighting

It’s important that you have some sort of lighting for those late nights sat in the garden. Any form of lighting is good but I personally like fairy lights. They make any garden feel magical and cosy and guests are sure to love them.

Fire Pit

Built in or portable, a fire pit can really make a difference in your garden. A beautiful fire pit will be the focal point of any garden and rightly so. The fire pit is a great place to sit around and keep warm (and toasting marshmallows is a bonus). With so many options on the internet I’m sure you can find one to fit your budget.
